should this site have a footer

i haven't finished writing this yet. i publish drafts early as part of WFD 17.
the site doesn't have a footer. the command palette handles navigation, the navbar has everything else. a footer would just repeat links that already exist.
but every time i scroll to the bottom of a post and hit the void, it feels unfinished. like something should be there even if it's just a line and a copyright notice.
arguments against:
- the command palette already covers navigation
- footers on personal sites are usually filler
- less to maintain
arguments for:
- social links somewhere persistent that isn't the navbar
- a place for "built with X" or colophon info
- the bottom of the page just feels empty
no decision yet.
